Best Cameras Under £500

My Personal 5 Favourite Cameras Under £500

  1. Nikon D3500 Digital SLR with Kit Lens

Released late 2018, Nikon released a pretty good beginners camera with some pretty impressive features…

It boasts a 24.2 mega pixels and has a CMOS sensor, making this camera great for taking pictures in low light situations!

With the camera having an APS-C sensor format, the focal length is actually x1.5, making the standard kit lens 27-83mm.

Overall the Nikon D3500 has impressive picture quality, at a very affordable price tag

  2. Sony A6000 Mirrorless Camera with 16-50mm Power Zoom Lens

Slightly older than the Nikon D3500, the Sony still offers some surprising qualities!

This camera has near exactly the same mega pixel size of 24.3 mega pixels, but the AutoFocus system is much quicker!

With the Sony being a mirrorless camera, it’s much lighter than the standard DSLR, making it ideal for travelling due to its compact build.

  3. Canon EOS Rebel SL2 / EOS 200D

With a kit lens included, this camera comes in slightly over budget…

However, the body on its own comes in around £420.

Again, this is a 24.2 mega pixel camera and with it being built by Canon, the amount of lenses on offer is greater!

This camera may have less autofocus points, but it works effectively and it’s fast!

  4. Nikon D5300 with Kit Lens

Again, Nikon comes in strong with a solid 24.2 mega pixel camera with good autofocus technology!

Just under budget, this camera boasts some pretty impressive features; like LCD screen and 39 point autofocus system!

  5. Nikon D3300 with Kit Lens

Coming in way under budget, this little Nikon shouldn’t be disregarded!

With the same mega pixel count as all of the above Nikon DSLR’s, this camera comes in strong with good image quality and image stabilisation!

Nikon’s range of lenses are often cheaper than its competition!

Here’s a great example of a great gallery captured with this camera!
